"On Top Of Things"

Look real hard and you may be able to see the city of Tucson 9000 feet below! Gulp! I was trying to capture that feeling in this painting. My hit for the day was when a young girl came by and chatted, left, then came back giving me a card with a $5 bill inside, thanking me for painting. That was worth more than selling it at gallery price! This plein air piece measures 11" x 14" on quality archival canvas board.
Art tidbit:
Plein air painting is landscape painting in the "open air."

"Windy Point"

This was my first trip up to the top of Mt Lemmon in Tucson, Arizona. Well, almost to the top. It has an elevation of 9000 feet! Would you believe the number of people trudging up this mountain on bicycles?! Unbelieveable.!
This is an original plein-air oil measuring 11" x 14" on quality archival canvas board.
Art tidbit:
Plein air painting is characterized by less detail and the plein air painters' desire to capture the fleeting moment.

"Proud Individual"

Welcome back Pallette Knife! The first ten years of painting was done strickly with a knife only! I was inspired to try it again. I hope you like this one as much as I do. It is filled with texture and vivid color!
It's an original oil on canvas board measuring 16" x 20" of a fall scene up in Apache territory near Pinetop, Arizona.
Art tidbit: Go for the gusto when exploring your creativity!

"Sunstreaked"

My latest plein-air adventure led me to Sabino Canyon for the first time. Wow! The views were spectacular. I captured the sun streaking down the side of this cliff.
This is an original oil on canvas board measuring 11" x 14". See more: WWW.GERIACOSTA.COM
Art tidbit: When out painting, watch out for mountain lions!

"Catalina State Park Trail"

Sometimes a painting really excites me that I am very proud of. This is one of those! The Catalinas are such an inspiration and to think they are just down the road from me. This piece measures 11" x 14" on quality archival canvas panel and is signed, ofcourse. Hope you like it! See my FREE SHIPPING site: WWW.ECRATER.COM
